MY LITTLE GARDEN, by GWENDOLEN ALLEN First Line: I love my little garden Last Line: And seeing god's handiwork all around, I no longer feel afraid. Subject(s): Contentment; Gardens & Gardening | |||
I love my little garden, It is a lovely place Where I can plant and tend my blossoms rare, And have bouquets each day and some to spare. I love my little garden, It is a restful place Where I can hear the birds send forth their songs of praise, And watch the setting sun at the end of glorious days. I love my little garden, It is a happy place Where I can go after the refreshing shower of rain And see the scarlet rambler flash the plea, "Be young again." I love my little garden, It is a helpful place Where I can go when life seems hard and I need aid; And seeing God's handiwork all around, I no longer feel afraid. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...NOVEMBER GARDEN: AN ELEGY by ANDREW HUDGINS AN ENGLISH GARDEN IN AUSTRIA (SEEN AFTER DER ROSENKAVALIER) by RANDALL JARRELL ACROSS THE BROWN RIVER by GALWAY KINNELL A DESERTED GARDEN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS NOT THE SWEET CICELY OF GERARDES HERBALL by MARGARET AVISON AN OLD GARDEN by HERBERT BASHFORD MEMORY by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON THE HUMAN ABSTRACT, FR.
