A LULLABY, by                    
First Line: One little kiss ere thine eyelids close
Last Line: Sleep, babykin, sleep.


One little kiss ere thine eyelids close,
Sleep, Little One, sleep.
Leaves are a-sighing, the night wind blows,
Dreamland has summer and many a rose,
Sleep, Babykin, sleep.

We shall go sailing when winds are low --
Sleep, Little One, sleep.
Softly we rock in the twilight glow,
Drift into harbor where dream ships go,
Sleep, Babykin, sleep.

Stars shall keep watch while our ship sails by,
Sleep, Little One, sleep.
Closer and closer the islands lie,
Angels are crooning a soft lullaby,
Sleep, Babykin, sleep.
