On Jumna's banks, where wavelets lap the shore, There stands a tomb in matchless beauty wrought, Bestud with jewels, stones, and marbles, brought From every clime to deck the sculptured door And carven screen and wall and inlaid floor; A master mind conceived and caged the thought Which reared this wondrous tomb, forever sought By those who seek not only art, but more. For doth it not portray that sacred thing, The love of man for woman as his mate, Enduring through the ages and all time, The endless theme all poets strive to sing?
