SHEEP AT MOUNTAIN PASTURE, by MARGARET CARROLL BRADY First Line: Ram's bell pealing, the sheep go by Last Line: The pasture aisle homing man and sheep. | |||
Ram's bell pealing, the sheep go by To the mountain meadow bluely high; The shepherd dreams ... still whiteness broods; The ram's bell beating chill solitudes: Still-hoofed they pass, heavy-eyed, slow, Stumble into the fold where lost winds blow. The fold is warm without fear they sleep: The pasture aisle homing man and sheep. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SURSUM CORDA by MARGARET CARROLL BRADY COLUMBIAN ODE by PAUL LAURENCE DUNBAR WHEN THE KYE CAME HOME by JAMES HOGG HUGH SELWYN MAUBERLEY: 8.
