DIFFERENTIA, by LULU BRUNT DAWSON First Line: The sun is a god Last Line: Of utter weariness. | |||
The sun is a god, A flaming, avid god, Young as an old man with a new love; And his setting Is as brilliant and resplendent As his rising -- A glory that never wanes. The moon is a goddess, A chaste, sardonic goddess; Old as any woman out of love. She will rise in radiant splendor To triumphant, lucent fullness And then wane and die Of utter weariness. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE MASTER'S TOUCH by HORATIO (HORATIUS) BONAR THE SLEEP by ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING THE LOCKLESS DOOR by ROBERT FROST DEATH THE LEVELLER, FR.
