YE Columns and my Sirens, and thou funereal jar Holding the little ash that now is I, To all who pass give greeting, no matter if they are My countrymen or from another sky: 'My father called me Baucis', say: say 'Telos was my home.' And tell them I was buried here, a bride, That all may know: and name the friend who thus inscribed my tomb, Erinna; she was always at my side. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...GOOD FRIDAY HYMN by GEORGE SANTAYANA AN HYMN IN HONOUR OF BEAUTY by EDMUND SPENSER TO HIS LATE MAJESTY, CONCERNING..TRUE FORM OF ENGLISH POETRY by JOHN BEAUMONT LIGHTS THROUGH THE MIST by WILLIAM ROSE BENET THE BALL, 1789 by HENRY CUYLER BUNNER THE HIGHLAND LASSIE by ROBERT BURNS |
