THE CORAL VINE, by LILLIE MAE LUMPKIN First Line: The loveliest flower that I know Last Line: I catch the rhythm, make it mine. Subject(s): Coral | |||
The loveliest flower that I know Grows right across my portico, It climbs aloft to make a scene Enchanting as a fairy queen. The tiny coral vine that grows Beneath my window smiles and knows: I catch its lovely color yet In my own fragile china set; I catch its simple pleasing grace, And try to wear it on my face; Within its gracious lovely lines, I catch the rhythm, make it mine. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE CORAL GROVE by JAMES GATES PERCIVAL SING-SONG; A NURSERY RHYME BOOK: 92 by CHRISTINA GEORGINA ROSSETTI THE CORAL INSECT by LYDIA HUNTLEY SIGOURNEY CORAL ISLANDS by LOUIS GINSBERG CORALVILLE, IN IOWA by MARVIN BELL CORAL REEF by LAURENCE LIEBERMAN MOLASSES REEF WRECK by LAURENCE LIEBERMAN TRIFLE by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON WINTER TREES by WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS |
