The swinging bells engrave in sunset golds The halos round the heads of poverty: The ringing tones reveal the gleaming folds Of glory, the rolled rumors of the sea. And far off splendour of a life unknown, Deep as reverberation of flown youth, Presses the heart of multitudes who moan: Salvation drips from dark, wet boughs of truth. Beloved city! flower of the forever! Honeyed interior of our history!
