HUMAN WORMS by ANAXILAS

First Line: FLATTERERS ARE THE WORMS WHO PREY UPON
Last Line: HE'S A MERE HUSK, CLEANED OUT, THEY GNAW ANOTHER.
Subject(s): FLATTERY;

FLATTERERS are the worms who prey upon
Men of rich substance. Into some innocent host
Insinuated, they sit down and eat;
And when, like corn-ears with no grain to show,
He's a mere husk, cleaned out, they gnaw another.
