REMINDER by KAY BALLENBERG

First Line: A CITY IS A GIANT SOUND
Last Line: TO INTIMATE TRANQUILLITY!
Subject(s): CALM; PLACID; UNDISTURBED; TRANQUILITY;

A city is a giant sound,
A great continuous groan of power,
The terrible voice of mightiness
Enjoying its Babylonian hour.

How easily we might forget
Life has another softer key
Had we no sparrows in our parks
To intimate tranquillity!
