MARE AMORIS by GAMALIEL BRADFORD

First Line: IF YOUR ECSTASIES IMPLORE
Last Line: WHERE I ENTER I DESTROY.
Subject(s): SEA; TOGETHERNESS; OCEAN;

If your ecstasies implore,
Understand me, I will come;
But 'twere wiser you were dumb:
If I come I part no more.

Call it sorrow, call it joy,
There is no escape from me:
Like the all-engrossing sea,
Where I enter I destroy.
