DESIRE by ROBERT BROWN

First Line: IF I COULD HAVE ONE SHINING WISH
Last Line: THROUGH LOVE-LIT HUMAN EYES!
Subject(s): DESIRE;

If I could have one shining wish
Of all the starry host,
Of all the wondrous Sisterhood
This one I'd treasure most:

That you should slip back from the skies
And stand here by my side,
As on that sunlit long ago
When you became my bride,

And I should hold you by the hand
And read, -- God is so wise
To give His choicest gift to men
Through love-lit human eyes!
