DAWN by MAXWELL STRUTHERS BURT

First Line: ALL NIGHT THE WIND WOVE EVIL IN THE HILLS
Last Line: AND CHRIST WALKED CLEAR-EYED, RADIANT THROUGH THE DAWN.
Subject(s): BIRDS; DAWN; THRUSHES; SUNRISE;

ALL night the wind wove evil in the hills,
The great ghost-witches of the dusk drove on,
Till suddenly there fell a hush, a peace,
And Christ walked clear-eyed, radiant through the dawn.
