RECOMPENSE by RICHARD EUGENE BURTON

First Line: FOR EVERY MAN THAT DIES, SOME LITTLE ONE
Last Line: SOME DEED UNFOLDS FAIR-HEARTED, LIKE THE FLOWERS?
Subject(s): EVIL; FLOWERS;

FOR every man that dies, some little one
Is born, they say, into this world of ours;
I wonder if, for every evil done,
Some deed unfolds fair-hearted, like the flowers?
