MASQUE AT THE MARRIAGE OF THE EARL OF SOMERSET: FIRST SQUIRE (2) by THOMAS CAMPION

Poet Analysis

First Line: ALL THAT WAS EVER ASKED BY VOW OF JOVE
Last Line: EVER ATTEND YOUR TRIPLE MAJESTY.

All that was ever asked, by vow of Jove,
To bless a state with, plenty, honour, love,
Power, triumph, private pleasure, public peace,
Sweet springs, and Autumns filled with due increase,
All these, and what good else thought can supply,
Ever attend your triple majesty.
