MASQUE AT THE MARRIAGE OF THE EARL OF SOMERSET: FOURTH SQUIRE by THOMAS CAMPION

Poet Analysis

First Line: THUS WITH PRODIGIOUS HATE AND CRUELTY
Last Line: TURN ALL THE WORLD INTO CONFUSION.

Thus with prodigious hate and cruelty,
Our good knights for their love afflicted be;
But, O, protect us now, majestic grace,
For see, those curst enchanters press in place
That our past sorrows wrought: these, these alone
Turn all the world into confusion.
