WHEN SOMEONE RAPPED by EDITH COLBY

First Line: WHEN SOMEONE RAPPED AT YOUR FRONT DOOR
Last Line: WHEN SOMEONE RAPPED AT YOUR FRONT DOOR?

When someone rapped at your front door,
Did you say this and then some more?
"Here, take my gloves, my coat, and hat,
And these, Dad's shoes, and his cravat.
This book -- be quick -- put it in place,
That strip of cloth and piece of lace.
This room! It surely is a sight!
And I, myself, look just a fright!"

Have you said this and then some more
When someone rapped at your front door?
