LINES FROM A NOTEBOOK - MAY 1814 by SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE

Poet Analysis

First Line: SEAWARD, WHITE-GLEAMING THRO' THE BUSY SCUD
Last Line: A WILDLY-WAILING NOTE.

Seaward, white-gleaming thro' the busy Scud
With arching Wings the Sea-mew o'er my head
Posts on, as bent on speed; now passaging
Edges the stiffer Breeze, now yielding @3drifts@1,
Now floats upon the Air, and sends from far
A wildly-wailing Note.
