SILVER RAIN by MARY ANNE DAVIS

First Line: THE SILVER NEEDLES OF THE RAIN
Last Line: FOR OH, IT'S SOWING WEATHER.
Subject(s): RAIN;

The silver needles of the rain
Flash in and out together;
They leave their print on lawn and lane,
The silver needles of the rain,
For oh, it's sowing weather.

The silver needles of the rain
Stitch steadily together;
They knot the grass in tangled skein,
The silver needles of the rain,
For oh, it's sowing weather.

The silver needles of the rain
Lace earth and sky together;
They prick to life the quickening grain,
The silver needles of the rain,
For oh, it's sowing weather.
