To rise at morn as blythe as little child;
To keep my spirit unafraid and undefiled;
To do the Martha-tasks with sunny heart;
And yet with Mary seek the better part;
To aid the worthy causes of my day;
To do the right not asking, "Does it pay?"
To raise the falling or to hear a call
In name of Him who heeds the sparrow's fall;
To live in faith of God's eternal good
And help to bring it:
These the things that should
Fill in my task another Happy Year!
