Like silver shafts imprisoned in a fine Wrought vase of filigree, a wayward flame Unfurled, and escaped like eager wine And leapt in silver rivers to my heart. It came In lightning lashes to pursue me And lifted me in quivering, jealous flight Above the sordid world, to mystery And rainbow clouds of crystal liquid light.
