I HEAR A VOICE by OLIVER MURRAY EDWARDS

First Line: I HEAR A VOICE FROM FAR AWAY
Last Line: THY NEEDS TO SATISFY.
Subject(s): HOLY GHOST; PRAYER; SOUL; TRINITY, THE; VOICES; HOLY SPIRIT;

I hear a voice from far away—
Out of the ages past,
A voice that lives forevermore,
And evermore will last.
Around the world it circles still
And cleaves the sky above;
That voice is heard within the hearts
Where live Faith, Hope and Love.

My soul and heart both answer back:
O Lord, Thy will be done.
I know it is the Spirit's voice,
The Father and the Son—
The blessed Trinity who speaks
In answer to my cry:
My son, I now extend my hand
Thy needs to satisfy.
