EPITAPH by JOHN FREEMAN

First Line: INTO THE DUST A SPIRIT SANK LIKE DEW
Last Line: AND STORMY JOY AND AN ECSTATIC PAIN.
Subject(s): DEATH; EPITAPHS; DEAD, THE;

INTO the dust a spirit sank like dew,
From dust to be exhaled like air again.
Meanwhile brief darkness and sun's broken light,
And stormy joy and an ecstatic pain.
