That grayed beam hewn from nearby lot Of oaks and other stout-heart trees, The fallen doorway, once erect, Whose foolish angle the lintel frees, And brocade trellis on sunward wall Propped loose to soften lines severe Of cumbrous shutters locked in close, And Titan chimney nook sprawled near, Offer a niche to migrant song And fling a challenge to the sun.
