THE OLD NEST by NORMAN ROWLAND GALE

First Line: THOUGH I SEEM TO YOU NOW BUT A RAG FORLORN
Last Line: FOR A KING AND A QUEEN AT THE HEART OF DELIGHT.
Subject(s): AGING;

THOUGH I seem to you now but a rag forlorn,
Rain-swept, wind-swept, bitter of plight,
I have stood as an empire fixed in the thorn
For a king and a queen at the heart of delight.
