THE TRAVELER by ANDRE GERMAIN

First Line: WHITHER DO YOU GO INTO THE EVENING, YOU SO YOUNG AND SO WORN
Last Line: YOU SEEK A HOME THAT FOREVER FLEES DESPERATELY BEFORE YOU.
Subject(s): HOME; TRAVEL; JOURNEYS; TRIPS;

Whither do you go into the evening, you so young and so worn?
No countryside awaits you as a brother,
No heart is the fountain that is your distant bourne.
But sad and blue as evening is the brotherly land where vainly
You seek a home that forever flees desperately before you.
