AN OREGON DAWN by WILLIAM STEWARD GORDON

First Line: ON THE TIDE OF THE MORNING, THE LIGHT
Last Line: MARCHED INTO THE DAY AND MARCHED ON.
Subject(s): OREGON; WEST (U.S.); SOUTHWEST; PACIFIC STATES;

On the tide of the morning, the light
Came flooding the inlets of day,
And all the dark rivers of night
Were burnished with heavenly ray.

Then the Angel of Light swung open
The glorious gates of the dawn,
And the jubilant choirs of creation
Marched into the day and marched on.
