First Line: BURNED INTO PARCHMENT, SUNG IN A BROOK
Last Line: FOR THE VIRGINAL GARLAND OF SPRING.
Subject(s): BROOKS; SPRING; STREAMS; CREEKS;

Burned into parchment, sung in a brook,
Body of it, breath of it.. In an old, old book
Yesterday I found the song
That the night-shards filtered through my tongue—
And tomorrow.. another bright brow will wear it
For the virginal garland of Spring.
