LITTLE FEET by ELIZABETH HARCOURT

First Line: WHERE HAVE YOU GONE, LITTLE FEET
Last Line: "I DANCE DOWN A SILVERY STREET!"
Subject(s): FEET;

Where have you gone, little feet,
That the tiny red slippers lie here
While the sun is a-dance in the street?

Why are you still, little voice?
For spring has come over the hill,
And even the sparrows rejoice.

Where are you laid, little head,
That the pillow is smooth
All night long on your bed?

O where have you gone, little feet?
"Where spring never slips from the hill
I dance down a silvery street!"
