CHARADE: 11 by FRANCES RIDLEY HAVERGAL

First Line: AWAKE, YE SLEEPERS
Last Line: SWEET SPOIL DOTH CARRY.
Subject(s): LARKSPUR; DELPHINIUM;

AWAKE, ye sleepers!
My @3first@1 hath sung his loud reveille,
And wakened through the glistening dale
The early reapers.

Why will ye linger?
Is it no @3second@1 that ye hear
The morning hymn, so glad and clear,
Of that wise singer?

Come forth, nor tarry!
And track the busy-wingèd bee,
Who from my @3whole@1 right joyously
Sweet spoil doth carry.
