A MEANE IN OUR MEANES by ROBERT HERRICK

Poet Analysis

First Line: THOUGH FRANKINSENSE THE DEITIES REQUIRE
Last Line: AS FOR OUR SELVES TO LEAVE SOME FRANKINSENCE.

Though Frankinsense the Deities require,
We must not give all to the hallowed fire.
Such be our gifts, and such be our expence,
As for our selves to leave some frankinsence.
