LIMERICK by EDWARD LEAR

Poet Analysis

First Line: THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHOSE FOLLY
Last Line: SHE QUICKLY BECAME MELANCHOLY.

Induced her to sit on a holly;
Whereon by a thorn, her dress being torn,
She quickly became melancholy.
