A RULE OF LIFE by LUCIAN

First Line: USE UP THY STORE, FOR THOU MUST DIE
Last Line: EXPENSE AND THRIFT IN BALANCE FAIR.
Subject(s): HUMAN BEHAVIOR; CONDUCT OF LIFE; HUMAN NATURE;

USE up thy store, for thou must die;
Thou hast to live, therefore put by.
Herein lies wisdom's rule, to pair
Expense and thrift in balance fair.
