IN SICKNESS LIKE SLEEP by THOMAS MCGRATH

First Line: IT IS LIKE THIS PERHAPS
Last Line: Will gather us into its shade
Subject(s): SICKNESS; SLEEP; ILLNESS;

It is like this perhaps
That the great tree of darkness
(Of which we have seen only a few leaves --
Or, perhaps a few, its black flower)
Will gather us into its shade.
