ON SEEING THE LADIES AT CRUX-EASTON WALK IN THE WOODS by ALEXANDER POPE

Poet Analysis

First Line: AUTHORS THE WORLD AND THEIR DULL BRAINS HAVE TRACED
Last Line: HERE, HERE'S THE PLACE, WHERE THESE BRIGHT ANGELS WALK.

Authors the world and their dull brains have trac'd,
To fix the ground where paradise was plac'd.
Mind not their learned whims and idle talk,
Here, here's the place, where these bright angels walk.
