SONG: 28 by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD

First Line: I AM WAITING TO SEND YOU A SONG, LOVE
Last Line: AND MY SAD SAILS WERE SET.

I AM waiting to send you a song, love,
From over the sea,
But the way, Oh the way is so long, love,
Between you and me,
All the music would die,
In the waves and the sky,
Before it reached thee.

I am wanting to tell you my love, love,
But you will forget
How you lifted your sweet eyes above, love,
How their lashes were wet
When you wished me good-bye,
While the stars filled the sky,
And my sad sails were set.
