NECESSARY OBSERVATIONS: 7TH PRECEPT by THOMAS RANDOLPH

Poet Analysis

First Line: SUSPICIOUS MEN THINK OTHERS FALSE; BUT HE
Last Line: AND SHUN TO BE TOO CREDULOUS FOR THINE OWN.

Suspicious men think others false; but he
Cosens himself that will too credulous be,
For thy friends' sake, let no suspect be shown,
And shun to be too credulous for thine own.
