STILLNESS AND SOUND by SIMONIDES OF CEOS

First Line: NO BREATH OF A WIND ROSE THEN
Last Line: TO BE FIXED TO THE EARS OF MEN.

NO breath of a wind rose then
To stir the leaves of the trees,
Nor any quivering breeze
To stay the sweet note of his song
From travelling straight along
To be fixed to the ears of men.
