LONELINESS (1) by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: I WALK BESIDE A LONELY LAKE
Last Line: THOU COMEST NOW NO MORE.
Subject(s): DEATH; SOLITUDE; DEAD, THE; LONELINESS;

I walk beside a lonely lake
Where, ere thy natal day,
I loved for contemplation's sake
At eventide to stray.

The mist, rewakened from the wave,
Enfolds me as before,
But from thy solitary grave
Thou comest now no more.
