THE STRANGER by JOHN BANISTER TABB

First Line: HE ENTERED, BUT THE MASK HE WORE
Last Line: "AS SEEN OF OTHERS' EYES."
Subject(s): SELF;

HE ENTERED; but the mask he wore
Concealed his face from me.
Still, something I had seen before
He brought to memory.

"Who art thou? What thy rank, thy name?"
I questioned, with surprise;
@3"Thyself,"@1 the laughing answer came,
@3"As seen of others' eyes."@1
