Poet Analysis

First Line: SINGER OF MANY SHINING SONGS
Last Line: YOU CHANCE TO SEE A STAR.

Singer of many shining songs,
Why do you ask for mine,
That have the scent of fallen leaves,
Of winter-green and pine?

Go where the roses call you --
Here only gray things are,
Unless through leafless branches
You chance to see a star.
