RAIN AND SLEEP by EDITH MATILDA THOMAS

First Line: THE WINDS IN SPRING HOW MANY A SHOWER UPBLOW
Last Line: MY PILLOW IS UNWET -- I TURN TO SLEEP.

THE winds in Spring how many a shower upblow!
These are the tears that freshen as they go;
And if, at night, they tap upon the pane,
A flowerful morning follows after rain.

The winds in Spring such easeful showers upblow;
But in a later time it is not so ...
If I were young again, then I would weep:
My pillow is unwet -- I turn to sleep.
