What is heaven? 'tis a country
Far away from mortal ken;
'Tis a land, where, by God's bounty,
After death live righteous men.

2.

That that blest land I may enter,
Is my humble, earnest cry;
Lord! admit me to Thy presence,
Lord! admit me, or I die.
