TRAGEDY by MAUDE BUTTCANE

First Line: POOR LITTLE ROBIN WITH A BROKEN WING
Last Line: HE'LL MAKE A DELICIOUS TIDBIT FOR KITTY'S GREED.
Subject(s): BIRDS; ROBINS; WINGS;

Poor little robin with a broken wing,
The object of some boy's sling;
Left to die upon the ground,
But of his anguish, he makes no sound --
For as he fell, he spied old Tabby-cat,
His life is doom'd, he's sure of that;
Though he tried to hide behind a weed,
He'll make a delicious tidbit for kitty's greed.
