PEARLS by ROBERT WOOD CLACK

First Line: EMBEDDED IN THE SLIME-INCRUSTED SHELL WE FIND
Last Line: WILL SWEETEN MY ETERNAL DREAM!
Subject(s): PEARLS;

Embedded in the slime-incrusted shell we find
A lucent pearl of purest hue;
And deep within my care-encumbered heart enshrined,
A sacred loving thought of you.
In years to come that pearl of captivating grace
Upon some regal breast may gleam;
And when at last I sleep to wake no more your face
Will sweeten my eternal dream!
