DANAE: LOVE IS IDLE by EURIPIDES

First Line: LOVE IS A SLUGGARD, AND FOR THESE THINGS LIVES
Last Line: BY WEALTHY MEN ALONE HIS POWER IS FELT.

LOVE is a sluggard, and for these things lives:
Mirrors he loves, and yellowed locks of hair,
But work he hates. One proof there is of this:
No man who seeks his bread has ever loved,
By wealthy men alone his power is felt.
